Edward Davis, Founder of Faded Barbershop and Inner City Youth Foundation (ICYF), is an entrepreneur, mentor, and community leader committed to uplifting youth and revitalizing the Northside of Minneapolis. A proud graduate of North Community High School and former student-athlete, Ed channels the lessons he learned on the court—discipline, teamwork, and perseverance—into his mission to help others overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Through ICYF, Ed leads programs that empower young people through basketball and mentorship, fostering leadership, self-respect, and confidence both on and off the court. His approach blends structure with compassion, creating a safe space where youth can grow as athletes and as individuals.As a business owner, Ed has transformed Faded Barbershop into a center for community connection and positive change. His initiative, “Guns Down, Faded Up,” has gained attention from KSTP, KARE 11, North News, and Southwest Voices for using free haircuts and open dialogue as tools for violence prevention and hope.Beyond his mentorship and entrepreneurial work, Ed organizes annual back-to-school drives, ensuring students across Minneapolis start the year prepared and supported. Through his partnership with NEON (Northside Economic Opportunity Network), he continues to champion local entrepreneurship and build pathways toward economic empowerment in North Minneapolis. Ed’s leadership is grounded in lived experience, unwavering faith, and a deep love for his community. He believes that real change begins with second chances—and his work reflects that belief every day.

Mark Cooper is a business consultant and owner of MAC Consulting, bringing over 30 years of experience in business development and supplier diversity. A leader in supporting businesses of color and economically disadvantaged entrepreneurs, Mark provides strategic guidance, training, and development to help ICYF grow and succeed. Mark is also a proud financial supporter of ICYF and its mission to uplift youth and rebuild communities.
Antoinette Flores
Founder and President of Life Reimagined,GBC brings more than 20 years of community health and outreach experience. A North Minneapolis native, she’s dedicated to empowering low-income and disadvantaged families through access, advocacy, and connection. Antoinette’s journey with ICYF began as a team mom supporting Ed’s vision; she now serves as Board Secretary, coordinating fundraising and community engagement to help advance the organization’s mission.
